Why use this wheel

Two ways to decide

Classic answers in one spin. Battle Duel removes one option per round and crowns a champion — the same list becomes a whole tournament.

Everything stays on your device

Your options, weights and history are saved in your browser. No account, no upload, no tracking of what you're deciding.

Built for a crowd

Fullscreen mode, real spin audio, confetti on the win, and a result screen large enough to read from the back of a classroom.

Why a wheel beats a coin, a hat or a group chat

Most decisions that end up on a wheel were never really about the answer. Six people cannot agree where to eat, nobody wants to be the one who picked wrong, and the conversation has been going for twenty minutes. What a spinning wheel provides is not randomness — a coin gives you that — but a shared, visible, obviously-fair moment that everyone watched happen. Nobody argues with the wheel.

That visibility is the whole point, and it is why a wheel is worth more than a random number generator that prints an answer instantly. The three seconds of deceleration, the pointer creeping past two slices and settling on a third, the collective groan — that is the part people actually want. It converts an argument into a small event.

It also removes the social cost of choosing. When a manager picks who presents first, that is a judgement. When the wheel picks, it is just luck, and the person picked is far more likely to shrug and get on with it. Teachers, team leads and tournament organisers all lean on this for the same reason.

Classic mode and Battle Duel mode

Classic mode is the wheel you already know. Load your options, spin once, get one winner. It is the right choice when you need a single answer and you need it now — which restaurant, who goes first, yes or no.

Battle Duel inverts it. Each spin eliminates whatever the pointer lands on, the wheel redraws with the survivors, and you spin again. The last option standing wins. A list of eight becomes seven rounds of steadily rising tension instead of one anticlimactic spin, and at the end you get the full elimination order — which is often more interesting than the winner.

Battle Duel is also the practical choice whenever you need to draw without repeats: calling on every student in a class exactly once, drawing first, second and third place in a raffle, or working through a backlog in random order. The mode that exists to build drama turns out to be the one that solves the most real problems.

Fair by construction, not by promise

Every draw uses your browser's cryptographic random source, the same class of generator used to produce security tokens — not the much weaker Math.random that most wheel sites rely on. The winner is selected before the animation begins, and the spin is then aimed at that slice, so the animation cannot bias the result no matter how long it runs.

Weights are handled honestly too. Give an entrant five entries and their slice grows to five times the size, so what you see on the wheel matches the odds you actually set. Nothing is hidden in the maths.

How to use the give chance the final word.

  1. 01

Put your options on the wheel

Type one per line, or paste a column straight out of a spreadsheet or a chat thread. Blank lines and stray spaces are stripped, and repeated entries are merged unless you tell it otherwise.

  2. 02

Choose how the wheel should answer

Classic gives you one winner and stops. Battle Duel knocks out whatever the pointer lands on and re-spins the survivors, which is what you want when nothing should be able to come up twice.

  3. 03

Weight anything that shouldn't be even

Add :3 after an entry, or open the weights panel. The slice grows to match, so the odds people can see on the wheel are the odds the draw actually uses.

  4. 04

    Spin, and keep the result

Press Space or hit the button. The winner is announced full-screen, written to the history panel, and ready to copy or send on as a link that carries the whole wheel.

Frequently asked questions

Is the wheel actually random, or does it favour anything?

It draws from crypto.getRandomValues, your browser's cryptographically secure random source, rather than the much weaker Math.random most spinners use. The winner is picked before the animation starts and the wheel is then aimed at that slice, so how long you hold the spin or how fast your screen refreshes changes nothing.

What does it cost, and where's the catch?

Nothing, and the catch is the advertising. There is no account, no spin limit and no feature held back for a paid tier — ads on the surrounding page pay for the hosting, and they are kept off the wheel itself.

Where do my options go when I close the tab?

Into your own browser's local storage, and nowhere else. Nothing you type is uploaded, so the same list is waiting when you come back and no server here has ever seen it. Share links carry the wheel inside the URL rather than storing it.

What is Battle Duel mode?

Instead of picking one winner and stopping, Battle Duel eliminates the option the wheel lands on and re-spins the survivors. It keeps going round by round until a single champion remains, and then shows you the full elimination order.

How many options can the wheel hold?

Hundreds. Labels shrink and truncate as the list grows so the wheel stays readable, and the full name is always shown in the result screen and history.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit the app is cached, so it keeps working without a connection and can be installed to your home screen.

Can I use it on a projector or a shared screen?

Yes, and it is designed for exactly that. Press F for fullscreen — the wheel scales up, the result appears in large high-contrast type, and the spin has audio so people watching from the back know when it has landed.
