Why use this wheel

Any range you like

Set a minimum and maximum and the wheel fills itself in. No typing out a hundred numbers.

Draw without replacement

Battle Duel mode removes each number as it's drawn — exactly what you want for bingo or a numbered raffle.

Visibly fair

Unlike a bare random number generator, everyone watching can see the wheel and see it land.

A number generator you can watch

Any programming language can produce a random number instantly. What none of them provide is the thing that actually matters when other people are involved: proof. A number that simply appears on screen asks everyone to trust whoever pressed the button. A wheel that visibly spins and lands does not.

This is why bingo halls use cages and lotteries use ball machines rather than a laptop. The mechanism is slower and less convenient on purpose, because the audience needs to see the randomness happen. A number wheel is the same idea in a browser tab.

Set a minimum and a maximum and the wheel fills itself in — you never type out a hundred numbers by hand. Past forty or so slices the labels get too thin to read, at which point the fullscreen result and the history become the useful output rather than the wheel face itself.

Drawing with and without repeats

The single most important choice here is whether a number can come up twice. Classic mode allows repeats: every spin is independent, and drawing a 7 does not stop the next spin drawing a 7 again. That is what you want for dice-style rolls or anything simulating repeated independent chance.

Battle Duel removes each number as it is drawn. That is what you want for bingo calls, numbered raffle tickets, seat allocations, or picking a random page from a book you have not read yet — anything where drawing the same number twice would be a mistake rather than a coincidence.

People routinely get this wrong and then spend the evening re-spinning past duplicates. The birthday-paradox intuition applies: with a range of fifty and twenty draws, repeats are not an edge case, they are close to guaranteed.

Ranges, zero and negative numbers

Ranges can start anywhere. Zero-indexed lists, negative values for temperature or score adjustments, and ranges that do not begin at one all work — the wheel simply fills in every integer between your minimum and maximum.

If you need something other than consecutive integers — odd numbers only, multiples of five, a specific set of ticket numbers — type them in as ordinary options instead. The wheel does not care whether its labels are numbers or words.

Why re-spinning past repeats fails sooner than you expect

The obvious way to draw several different numbers is to spin, write it down, spin again, and ignore anything you have already seen. It works, and it stops working far faster than intuition suggests, because collisions do not wait until the range is nearly used up.

Draw from one to a hundred and there is already a better-than-even chance of a repeat by the thirteenth draw. From one to thirty, it arrives around the seventh. This is the birthday problem, and the reason it feels wrong is that people estimate the odds of hitting one specific number rather than the odds of any two draws matching — which is the number of pairs, and pairs grow with the square of the draws.

Battle Duel removes the problem instead of managing it. Each number comes off the wheel as it is drawn, so ten draws from a hundred are ten distinct numbers with no re-spins, no crossing off, and no argument about whether you had already used forty-seven.

How to use the random number picker

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop numbers repeating?

Yes. Switch to Battle Duel mode and each number is removed from the wheel once it has been drawn, so you never get the same one twice.

How large a range can I use?

Hundreds of numbers spin comfortably. Beyond that the slices get too thin to read, so the result screen and history become the useful output rather than the wheel labels.

Can I use negative numbers or start from zero?

Yes. Any minimum and maximum work, including negative ranges and ranges starting at zero — every integer between the two is added to the wheel.

Can I pick only odd numbers, or multiples of ten?

Not from the range generator, but you can type them in as ordinary options. The wheel treats numeric labels exactly like any other text.

Can I use it for a lottery, a giveaway or anything with money attached?

For an informal draw, yes. For a regulated promotion, check the rules that apply to you first — a browser-side draw keeps no server-side record, so there is nothing here to audit afterwards if the result is ever challenged.

How do I get a whole shuffled order rather than one number?

Load the range, switch to Battle Duel and keep spinning. Each number is removed as it comes up, so the elimination order in the history panel is a full random permutation of the range.
